Iron Arry and Iron Bert

Iron Arry and Bert are two devious diesel engines who have a strong dislike for steam engines. They think the Sodor Railways can be run by diesel engines and look out for every opportunity to scrap the steam engines specially Oliver and Stepney. The two brothers are employed by the Sodor Iron works and work in the scrap yards and the smelter sheds. Since their primary job is to melt engines they are often referred to as the ''Messengers of Doom.'' Arry and Bert are painted green-grey with yellow hazard stripes to keep them out of danger in the construction sites but they themselves spell danger for Thomas the tank engine and his friends. Bert has a beard which puts him apart from Arry who does not have one. Scheming and cunning the duo of Iron Arry and Bert are villainous troublemakers but nevertheless they are very useful in the yards and in the smelter sheds!
