Donald the Scottish Twin
Product Overview
Donald arrived in Sodor in 1959 from Scotland after a request for a freight engine was made by Sir Topham Hatt. But his arrival was marked with surprises and confusion for the Fat Controller since Donald did not arrive alone. He was accompanied by another engine of the same color and make. What made matters worse for the Fat Controller was the fact that both engines had mysteriously lost their number plates on the way and he could not fathom which was which! The Scottish twins look the same with their black paint and matching tender to boot and are virtually inseparable. Their professionalism, competence, work ethics and their experience in snow plough work made both of them indispensable to Sodor. Their ability to get along with other engines has also won many friends for them. Donald wears a no. 9 now at the insistence of Sir Hatt who has had enough of the twins impersonating each other! Donald and his twin engine are worthy collectibles as they have been discontinued from the Thomas wooden Railways train models and are available in limited edition now!
