Diesel (reintroduced)

Diesel, the first diesel engine on the Island of Sodor is responsible for starting years of rivalry between diesel and steam engines. The proverbial villain, Diesel tried to create mischief by spreading wild stories about the steam engines, Thomas and friends. Some of these attempts backfired on this scheming, conniving engine such as when he tried to defame Henry and was packed off from Sodor by Sir Topham Hatt. Diesel was briefly called back to help with Thomas' branch line but proved once again that he meant only trouble when he destroyed several trucks and had to be banished from the island again. Devious and cunning, this oily, ''black as soot'' engine has a permanent smirk on his face. Add him to the collection of Thomas wooden railways and see all Thomas' friends unite for a war against the 'Diesel Devil' who thinks of himself as a Revolutionary!
